Originally available as part of Patternworks’ Essential Accessories™ Club. This hat features chunky cables with columns of garter stitch in between. Pattern includes blocking instructions using a dinner plate (optional).
- Size: Ladies’ average; approx. 10 1/2″ diameter at widest point and 17″ circumference at brim, unstretched (please note, brim is very stretchy!)
- Yarn: 200 to 220 yards worsted-weight yarn
- Needles: U.S. size 6 (4mm) double-pointed or 16″ circular for brim; U.S. size 8 (5mm) double-pointed and 16″ or 20″ circular for body of hat; cable needle
- Optional Blocking Supplies: Scrap yarn (dk weight or thinner), dinner plate, and mug or drinking glass
- Gauge: 5 stitches = 1″ in cable pattern
