I chose the name PolkaSocks because the patterning is an accordion rib. Plus my best friend’s husband, who retired from teaching in 2020, loves polka…and has taken up accordion lessons as a new retirement activity. This pattern offers four different sizes and two cuff ribbing options. Socks are knit from the toe up with a gusset and slip-stitch heel.

- Yarn: 100 grams of fingering-weight sock yarn

- Gauges: 7 sts = 1″ in Stockinette stitch; approx. 10 sts = 1″ in Accordion Rib Pattern, unstretched
